Welcome to Tsushima Wildlife Conservation Center (TWCC)!
TWCC was established in 1996 by the MOE (Ministry of the Environment), Nagasaki Pref, and Tsushima City.
It’s a base of wildlife preservation through conservation, research, and education. We educate the public about Tsushima Leopard Cat and the islands fascinating eco-system.

Biodiversity of Tsushima

Entering from the entrance, from the left are the reception counter and office, men's and women's restrooms, wheelchair-accessible restrooms, a lecture room, and the Tsushima leopard cat library in front of the lecture room. In the back of the library, from left to right, there are sections on the Tsushima leopard cat, biodiversity, protection and propagation activities, let's go see the Tsushima leopard cat behind the section on the Tsushima leopard cat, and the relationship between the Tsushima leopard cat and Tsushima's natural life behind the section on biodiversity.

“KANATA” is the adorable ambassador of Tsushima Leopard Cats!
Meet him and see his species differentiating features up-close.
  • Group size in the observation room limited to 10 or so.
  • Respect KANATA’s ordinary life. Do not taunt or harass him.

  • Infection control limits group size to a maximum of 30.
  • Take your temperature at the entrance.
  • For large groups, please reserve beforehand.
  • On crowded days, there may be a short wait.
  • No flash photography.
  • The site is wheelchair accessible.
